The Armenian pianist Marianna Shirinyan is one of the most creative and sought-after soloists and chamber musicians in the world. When she won five prizes at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2006, she embarked on a stellar career.

Marianna Shirinyan is a welcome guest at many international festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Schwetzinger Festspiele, MDR Musiksommer, Mosel Musikfestival as well as Bergen Festspillene, Stavanger, Sandefjørd, Lofoten Musikfestivals in Norway or Reykjavik Midsummer Festival in Iceland or Oxford Chamber Music Festival in England. At the same time, she has gained a reputation as one of the leading pianists of her generation through solo appearances with the renowned Scandinavian orchestras, including the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Copenhagen Philharmonic, Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra and Odense Symphony Orchestra. Outside Scandinavia, she has played concerts with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the I Pommerigi Musicali di di Soprano, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, and the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the I Pommerigi Musicali di Milano, the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre philharmonique de Nice, Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, under conductors such as Zoltan Kocsis, Simon Gaudenz, Antonello Manacorda, Eva Ollikainen, Jun Märkl, Thomas Søndergaard, Krysztof Urbanski and Joshua Weilerstein.

Marianna Shirinyan has been a Steinway Artist since 2013 and a professor at the Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway, since fall 2015.

Marianna Shirinyan is artistic director of the Oremandsgaard Chamber Music Festival in Denmark.
