Viviane Chassot sets new standards with her interpretations on the accordion. Born in Zurich, and now living as a freelance musician in Basel, she appears in solo and chamber music performances throughout the world in renowned concert halls including the Berlin Philharmonie, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Guggenheim Museum in New York, Vienna Konzerthaus, Wigmore Hall in London, and Zurich Tonhalle. She works with such conductors as Simon Rattle, David Zinman, Riccardo Chailly and Heinz Holliger, and makes regular guest appearances at international festivals.

A versatile musician, she crosses stylistic boundaries and combines the genres of classical music, jazz, new music, and improvisation.
