Heat Wave is the fourth release from Swedish rockers Thundermother and follows their 2018 eponymous album. Recorded in Copenhagen with producer Søren Andersen, the effort sees the quartet deliver a collection of no-holds-barred hard rock full of their signature riffs and powerful guitar solos. Hardly any other hard rock band has been so successful in the last years like the ladies of Thundermother!
Their album “Heat Wave” (2020) reached #6 in the German album charts (and later an impressive chart re-entry (#16) with the expansion “Heat Wave Deluxe”). Not even the Corona pandemic could completely slow the band down and so they played concerts from the roof of a fire truck, among other things
Thundermother were born for the stage, their energetic live shows have to be seen. With corners, edges, attitude and a fine hand for great melodies, the band plays itself step by step towards the rock Olympus. And this can now be taken, with the new album “Black And Gold”. The band around frontwoman Guernica Mancini torches a true hit firework. The first single “Watch Out” already sent the right message: Attention, here are Thundermother and “Black And Gold” is their masterpiece!
