Since forming in 1989, Thunder have established themselves at the top table of UK rock and cultivating a well-deserved reputation as consummate live performers.
January 26, 2024, sees the release of the previously unreleased live album “Live At Leeds”, recorded on March 3rd, 2015, as part of a three-date arena tour in support of ‘Wonder Days’, one of the finest studio records of Thunder’s career.
A 16-song set delivered a hatful of hits and no less than six numbers from ‘Wonder Days’, namely its title cut, ‘Black Water’, ‘Resurrection Day’, ‘Broken’, ‘The Thing I Want’ and ‘When The Music Played’.

Among the most popular and enduring British hard rock bands of the past 25 years, Thunder are to launch the previously unreleased live album “Live At Islington Academy” on January 26, 2024.
The live record captures the South London based band during the touring cycle of their eighth studio album, ‘Robert Johnson’s Tombstone’. The quintet had already completed a lengthy circuit of the UK in promotion of the record when they were contacted by Planet Rock Radio (UK) about the possibility of performing a set before a live audience at the station’s first annual Christmas Bash.
A mere 800 lucky fans got the opportunity to see Thunder perform at the Planet Rock Christmas Party on December 19th, 2006, and offered up a storming, surprise performance dominated by golden classics such as ‘River Of Pain’, ‘Low Life In High Places’, ‘You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down’, ‘Love Walked In’, ‘Backstreet Symphony’ and ‘I Love You More Than Rock ‘N’ Roll’, followed by a hot, sweaty encore of the hit single ‘Dirty Love’.

British hard-rock heroes, Thunder, release their 13th studio album ‘All The Right Noises’. The album is a return to the full-throttle sound of Thunder that has seen them create a hugely successful 30+ year career at the forefront of British rock, all built around the lifelong friendship of vocalist extraordinaire Danny Bowes and songwriting genius and guitarist Luke Morley. ‘All The Right Noises’ is an intense confection of illicit charms that reasserts their authority as the number one band in the land. Recorded in the months leading up to the first Covid-19 lockdown, it was originally due for release in September 2020. Strange to reflect then on how much of the new material appears to address the challenging new world we now inhabit. On the album, Luke says “ All the songs were written and recorded pre-Covid. But it is interesting how if you look at some of the tracks through the prism of Covid they still make a lot of sense.” The volcanic lead single from the album, ‘Last One Out Turn Off The Lights’ could easily be mistaken for world-ending lockdown rage. But, says Luke, “That was directly about Brexit, but you could apply it to everything else.” The track is indicative of both the ferocity and message of the album as a whole, with subjects tackled including depression, mental health, and diversity

Blu-ray – Dessert: The Wonder Days Film :: The documentary lasts more than 70 minutes and was filmed by Tim Sidwell. It tells us about the development of “Wonder Days” and includes extensive interviews with all band members. In addition, there is unpublished behind the scenes material from the recordings and the RAK sessions. The bonus material is very convincing as well: It contains the live show from the Brooklyn Bowl, clips from the tour in March 2015 and the incredible performance at the Loud Park Festival in Tokyo, Japan.

Thunder will release the brand new live album, “Stage”, through earMUSIC. “Stage” features hits from right across the band’s career and includes fan-favorite classics, like “Backstreet Symphony”, “Low Life In High Places” and “Love Walked In”, and brings things right up to date with tracks from the 2017-released, Top 3 U.K. chart album “Rip It Up”, like the storming title track and “She Likes The Cocaine”. “Stage” was captured at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on March 24, 2017 during the U.K. tour; the band also played the rest of Europe, North America, and Asia, across Germany with Alice Cooper, at Planet Rock’s Rockstock, and is preparing to fly to Japan for some January 2018 dates.
Frontman Danny Bowes says: “The ‘Rip It Up’ album was so well-received — it was no surprise the tour was brilliant, too. We decided to include a Cardiff Motorpoint Arena show on the tour, purely because it was so good when we played there with JOURNEY and WHITESNAKE in 2013. Capturing it as well turned out to be one of our better decisions, because the resulting film and album are a shining example of an organic ‘coming together’ of fans and a band. We’ve released a few live recordings over the years, but this is most definitely up there with the best of them. We’re extremely pleased with it.”
