Thibault Noally is a recognized name in the international baroque scene he is an actor for many years, both as a solo violin Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble Marc Minkowski, with the Concerto Köln, Pulcinella or all Matheus. This first solo album, highly anticipated, put in the spotlight in a directory that he knows how to translate all the subtleties works for solo violin Baroque Germany.

This period, in which the violin reaches the perfection of its form and its sound is a treasure for all researchers whose masterpiece Sonatas and Partitas of JS Bach part (here the incredible Chaconne). Throughout the disc, we (re) discover Thomas Baltzar (1631-1663) whose work requires a mastery, precise and unfailing virtuosity; Vilsmayer Johann Joseph (1663-1722), Franz Biber (1644-1704) featured the Salzburg court, Johann Paul von Westhoff (1656-1705) co-Bach in Weimar, Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767), whose most famous pages are known.

A look at the soul of the German Baroque, through its diversity, finesse, and its evolution over the 17th and 18th centuries, and the song of the king instrument: the violin.

Transcriptions for string sextet of Rameau’s Pièces de clavecin en concerts of 1741, the Concerts en sextuor were published by Saint-Saëns in the monumental edition of Rameau’s works that he undertook in the nineteenth century for Durand. Hitherto they had existed only in a manuscript bearing the name Decroix and dated 1768 (four years after the composer’s death).

These concerts, consisting of typical French character pieces, evoking a place (Le Vézinet), a temperament (La Timide) or a person (La Marais), show the composer’s skills at capturing character, mood and colour.

This performance on period instruments by Thibault Noally and Les Accents brings out all the warmth of this version of Rameau’s compositions.

Violinist Thibault Noally leads his ensemble Les Accents through a new musical adventure inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach. Around the father of European music are summoned by famous and more discreet contemporaries, all authors of concertos, such as Telemann, Fasch and Förster. Enlightened by the miraculous southern light emanating from the works of German Baroque pieces, the album vibrates thanks to the obvious pleasure of the musicians to play once more together at Aparté’s. Guided by the spirit of the Leipzig cantor, the musicians walk through the alleys of the eighteenth century following the Thibault Noally’s sound. Most comfortable in this environment, he and his violin literally sing with his musical mates in the double concertos for recorder or oboe. Baroque repertoire is inexhaustible!
