The Weeknd releases the “Original Version” of their major label debut Trilogy, originally released in 2012 through XO and Republic Records. The album consists of a compilation of tracks from his 2011 mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence, alongside three previously unreleased songs, “Twenty Eight”, “Valerie”, and “Till Dawn (Here Comes the Sun)”.
The original release features remixed and remastered versions of the tracks, which are presented on this version in their original mixtape forms.

The Weeknd has unveiled an 18-song collection, The Highlights, in advance of his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance.
The “Blinding Lights” singer will take the stage at the Super Bowl LV showdown between Tampa Bay and Kansas City on Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida and the specially curated collection is an introduction to some of his career highlights for the gigantic audience that typically tunes in to the biggest annual TV broadcast.
But before then, he’s offering fans the chance to order a copy of his hits comp, which features such beloved songs as “In Your Eyes,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Starboy,” “Heartless,” “Die For You,” “Love Me Harder” and “Wicked Games,” among others; the singer’s site says the CD version will ship in the next two or three weeks. According to XO/Republic Records, the project will be available on Feb. 5.

Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, is back with his anticipated fourth album After Hours, an intoxicating R&B record that feels like a natural progression from its predecessors. After 2016’s Starboy and the EP My Dear Melancholy 2 years later, the chart-topping singer made his acting debut in the Netflix thriller Uncut Gems alongside Adam Sandler. The album boasts two new remixes, as well as the previously released single, “Moth To A Flame” with Swedish House Mafia. The electronic group also contributes to the “Sacrifice” remix” while Agents Of Time join The Weeknd for the remix of “Take My Breath.”

Echoes of Silence is the third mixtape by Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd, released on December 21, 2011, by XO.[Like his debut mixtape House of Balloons and his second mixtape Thursday, the Weeknd collaborated with musician Illangelo; who produced the majority of the project. The project also featured first-time collaborations with producers Clams Casino and DropXLife and a spoken-word interlude from rapper Juicy J. Lyrically, Echoes of Silence contains similar themes to the Weeknd’s previous projects, exploring his drug use and experiences with love. The project was preceded by the release of the promotional single “Initiation” on October 10, 2011.
