After Suede reunited in 2010 for a charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, they decided to stay together and record a new album.
Reunited with Ed Buller, the producer of the band’s first three albums, they recorded ‘Bloodsports’, the band’s sixth album, in 2012. It was released in March 2013, reached number 10 in the UK album charts and contains the singles “It Starts And Ends With You”, “Hit Me” and “For The Strangers”.
In this special 10th anniversary 2CD set, CD1 contains the original album, while bonus CD2 contains the eight B-sides not included on the album and collected on one CD for the first time. The two CDs are presented in brand new 7-inch deluxe gatefold packaging, with an 8-page booklet containing all the lyrics (including the B-sides) and the credits.

Suede will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their incredible second album ‘Dog Man Star’, with a special limited edition box set. Purchasers from this store will receive the very limited (500 worldwide) alternative sleeve version, plus ‘Stay Together’ on 12” vinyl. ‘Dog Man Star’ has consistently been voted one of the seminal albums of the 90s. It produced the singles ‘The Wild Ones’, ‘We Are the Pigs’ and ‘New Generation’, as well as the critic and fan favourite epic ‘The Asphalt World’.
Instead of following through on the Bowie-esque glam stomps of their debut, Suede concentrated on their darker, more melodramatic tendencies on their ambitious second album, Dog Man Star. By all accounts, the recording of Dog Man Star was plagued with difficulties — Brett Anderson wrote the lyrics in a druggy haze while sequestered in a secluded Victorian mansion, while Bernard Butler left before the album was completed — which makes its singular vision all the more remarkable. Lacking any rocker on the level of “The Drowners” or “Metal Mickey” — only the crunching “This Hollywood Life” comes close — Dog Man Star is a self-indulgent and pretentious album of dark, string-drenched epics. But Suede are one of the few bands who wear pretensions well, and after a few listens, the album becomes thoroughly compelling. Nearly every song on the record is hazy, feverish, and heartbroken, and even the rockers have an insular, paranoid tenor that heightens the album’s melancholy. The whole record would have collapsed underneath its own intentions if Butler’s compositional skills weren’t so subtly nuanced and if Anderson’s grandiose poetry wasn’t so strangely affecting. As it stands, Dog Man Star is a strangely seductive record, filled with remarkable musical peaks, from the Bowie-esque stomp of “New Generation” to the stately ballads “The Wild Ones” and “Still Life,” which are both reminiscent of Scott Walker. And while Suede may choose to wear their influences on their sleeve, they synthesize them in a totally original way, making Dog Man Star a singularly tragic and romantic album. –AllMusic Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine

2018 album from the veteran British indie outfit. After the critical and commercial success of the Top 10 album – Night Thoughts (2016), Suede release their stunning album The Blue Hour. The Blue Hour is the final part of the triptych of albums recorded by the band since they reformed and released 2013’s Bloodsports. Produced and mixed by Alan Moulder at Assault & Battery Studios, the album sees Suede continue to explore new ground sonically. It features a choir and spoken word, as well as string arrangements from Craig Armstrong and the band’s own Neil Codling. The Blue Hour was produced by Alan Moulder and Suede; it shares the same line-up as 1996’s Coming Up – vocals by Brett Anderson, guitars by Richard Oakes, bass by Mat Osman, drums by Simon Gilbert, synthesizers and piano by Neil Codling.

Suede return with their ninth studio album Autofiction, set for release on 16th September 2022 via BMG.
As Suede began work on the songs that would become Autofiction, they decided to go back to basics. In a move that recalled their most formative days, Brett Anderson, Mat Osman, Simon Gilbert, Richard Oakes and Neil Codling schlepped to a rehearsal studio in deserted Kings Cross to collect a key, hump their own gear, set up and start playing.
Speaking about Autofiction, Brett Anderson said: “Autofiction is our punk record. No whistles and bells. Just the five of us in a room with all the glitches and fuck-ups revealed; the band themselves exposed in all their primal mess.”
First single ‘She Still Leads Me On’ is the track that reconfigured what the album could be. A beautiful song written from Brett to his late mother. As its title suggests, Autofiction is one of Anderson’s most personal records yet. Reflecting on the process of writing acclaimed works of memoir Coal Black Mornings and Afternoons With The Blinds Drawn helped Brett get a newfound perspective on himself as a performer and singer in the public eye, much of which has bled into the lyricism of Autofiction.
