Samara Joy is a singing star in the ascendancy. The young vocalist attracted attention in 2019 after winning the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. When ”Linger Awhile“ was released in September 2022, the international press was enthusiastic and in February 2023 Samara Joy scored twice at the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony: with ”Linger Awhile“ she not only secured the trophy for the best jazz vocal album of the year, but also surprisingly also secured the cross-genre award for the ”Best New Artist”. On May 19, 2023, “Linger Awhile” will be released as a deluxe edition on CD and digitally.
