Following the massive success of their eleventh studio album “Ego Trip”, Californian rockers PAPA ROACH have announced “Ego Trip” digital deluxe edition and the long-awaited release date of “Ego Trip” standard edition on vinyl. The 20-track digital deluxe release features remixed versions of songs from the original record, as well as new music. Out today is “Cut The Line” featuring BEARTOOTH.
Also available for pre-order is the long-awaited “Ego Trip” vinyl LP, in its second edition after offering exclusively for November’s Black Friday Record Store Day. The worldwide release features the standard 14-track album in unique packaging with a pop-up “Ego Trip” roller coaster inside gatefold, amusement park map, and 140g vinyl LP in opaque black, “translucent purple” for indie retailers, “strawberry shortcake” available via the band’s merchandise store, and “yellow-and-black swirl” exclusively on tour, the latter two variants including a special seven-inch featuring two acoustic tracks.

Papa Roach is an American metal and rock band formed in Vacaville, California in 1993. At the beginning of the new millennium, the band was part of the commercially successful nu metal wave with the album Infest, which had developed in the “crossover boom” of the 1990s. The resulting single Last Resort became a hit and reached high rankings in the hit lists in several countries. As a result, the group was nominated for numerous international music awards such as the Grammy and the MTV Video Music Award. However, she gradually distanced herself from the musical genre of nu metal after her successful debut and has been handling various styles of rock music since then. The band was influenced by Faith No More and Rage Against the Machine. The band name “Papa Roach” comes from singer Jacoby Shaddix. He testified that his grandfather’s last name was “Roatch”, but that he had also been addressed by the nickname “Papa”. The band has a mascot in the form of a cockroach (Engl. cockroach). To date, Papa Roach has received several awards for record sales and has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.

As previously reported, PAPA ROACH will release its second collection of hit singles, titled “Greatest Hits Vol. 2 – The Better Noise Years”, on March 19, 2021. The effort includes 12 of the band’s top 10 hits released between 2010 to 2019 as well as three previoulsy unreleased remixes and two unreleased acoustic recordings recorded live at the YouTube Studios in New York City. “Greatest Hits Vol. 2 – The Better Noise Years” also features a guest appearance by Danny Warsnop (vocalist of ASKING ALEXANDRIA) on the track “Broken As Me”. The original version of the song was recorded for PAPA ROACH’s 2015 album “F.E.A.R.”
