The details of the soundtrack album for the Starz/Sky original limited series Mary & George have been revealed. The album features the show’s original music composed by Oliver Coates (Aftersun, The Stranger, Occupied City, Significant Other, Foe). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 5 by Invada Records. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. A digital single featuring two first tracks from Coates’ score has previously been released last week. Mary & George is created by D.C. Moore and stars Julianne Moore, Nicholas Galitzine, Nicola Walker, Tony Curran, Niamh Algar, Trine Dyrholm, Sean Gilder, Adrian Rawlins, Mark O’Halloran, Laurie Davidson, Samuel Blenkin and Simon Russell Beale. The 7-part historical drama tells the true story of a treacherous mother and son who seduced, schemed and killed to conquer the Court of England and the bed of King James I. The series will premiere in the UK tomorrow on Sky Atlantic and NOW and will make its U.S. debut on April 5 on Starz.

The Stranger is an eight-part British mystery thriller miniseries written primarily by Danny Brocklehurst and based on the 2015 Harlan Coben novel of the same title. The miniseries premiered on Netflix on 30 January 2020. It stars Richard Armitage, Siobhan Finneran and Hannah John-Kamen. It was filmed in and around Manchester and Stockport.Originally from London, Oliver Coates is a cellist who has worked with a wide variety of artists from the classical, alternative, experimental, and electronic music worlds, in addition to composing his own innovative solo work.
