‘The Masterplan’ is an extraordinary collection of B-sides originally featured on singles from Oasis’ era-defining first three albums, ‘Definitely Maybe’ (1994), ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ (1995), and ‘Be Here Now’ (1997). Noel has often described ‘The Masterplan’ as one of the best songs he has ever written. This is the third new release from the “Chasing The Sun: 1993 -1997” series, for which the albums “Definitely Maybe” (1994) and “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory” were already released in 2014?” (1995) were reissued.

“Be Here Now” is Oasis’ third studio album. It was originally released on August 21, 1997. It reached number one in the UK charts and was certified six times platinum there. It reached number two in Germany and was certified gold.

(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, the follow-up to debut album Definitely Maybe, is Oasis’ biggest-selling album with 22 million copies sold worldwide. It was recorded between May and June 1995 in Rockfield Studios, Monmouthshire, with Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher producing. Released on October 2nd 1995 it spent 10 weeks at No.1, is the 5th biggest-selling album in UK chart history and became the band’s breakthrough album in the US where it sold 4 million copies. The new edition has been remastered from the original tapes by Ian Cooper at London’s Metropolis Studios, supervised by the album’s producer Owen Morris. A small army of contributors including original members of the inner circle who were involved in studio and live recordings came together to hunt down unheard demos and live material.

Definitely Maybe“ was originally released in August 1994 and was an immediate critical and commercial success. The fastest selling debut album ever (at the time), it went seven-times platinum in the UK (over 2 million copies), and sold 5 million worldwide. Containing the classic debut single Supersonic, released April 1994, and subsequent singles Shakermaker, Live Forever, and Cigarettes & Alcohol. The Deluxe Edition includes rare and previously unheard tracks. Definitely Maybe has now been remastered for the 2014 reissue by Ian Cooper at Metropolis studios.

Arriving with the force of a hurricane, Oasis’ third album, Be Here Now, is a bright, bold, colorful tour de force that simply steamrolls over any criticism. The key to Oasis’ sound is its inevitability — they are unwavering in their confidence, which means that even the hardest rockers are slow, steady, and heavy, not fast. And that self-possessed confidence, that belief in their greatness, makes Be Here Now intensely enjoyable, even though it offers no real songwriting breakthroughs. On 10th and 11th August 1996, 250,000 young music fans converged on Knebworth Park to see Oasis play two record breaking, era defining shows.
