The Slip is the seventh studio album by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, released on July 22, 2008. It was the fourth consecutive Nine Inch Nails release to be produced by frontman Trent Reznor with collaborators Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder. The album was released for free under a Creative Commons (BY-NC-SA) license, with the message from Reznor, “this one’s on me”. The Slip was initially released digitally via the Nine Inch Nails official website without any prior advertisement or promotion. A limited-edition, physical version followed two months later, though this iteration of the album was not free.

This marks the second EP in a proposed trilogy following the 2016 release of Not the Actual Events.

The Fragile: Deviations 1 (also known as Halo 30) is an alternate take on The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails. It is due for a physical release in early 2017, but was released digitally in December 2016 to those who ordered the physical product from nin.com.
On December 24, 2016, Trent Reznor stated that: “When a track from Deviations says (Instrumental), that’s because at some point that track had vocals on it. Those could be finished, a demo or just an outline.”

Broken is the debut EP and major label debut by the American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, released on September 22, 1992 by TVT Records, Nothing Records and Interscope Records. It is the band’s second release following their debut studio album Pretty Hate Machine (1989), and consists entirely of new material. Produced by frontman Trent Reznor and Flood, it replaces the synthpop style of Pretty Hate Machine with a considerably heavier sound that would act as a precursor for Nine Inch Nails’ acclaimed second studio album The Downward Spiral (1994).
