In the mid 1950ties a young trumpeter from Serbia (then behind the notorious “Iron Curtain”) stormed the free world of Western Europe and presented himself as probably the most versatile jazz trumpeter of his decade. Milorad “Milo” Pavlovic became one of the most prominent soloists and bandleaders of Europe within only a few years by joining groups together with both European Jazz Grandmasters such as Kurt Edelhagen, Paul Kuhn, Bora Rokovic and Francy Boland and with International Stars such as Stan Kenton, Gil Evans, Oliver Nelson and Kenny Clarke. As one of the true European Swing Giants this new album is dedicated to Milo Pavlovic, who displays his wide range of styles in 20 tracks from straight jazz and swing to the great instrumental ballad.
