In ‘Homeland’, Judith Jáuregui, one of the most renowned Spanish pianists of our time, joins forces with Kaspar Zehnder and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León in performances of Grieg’s Piano Concerto, op. 16 and Falla’s Noches en los Jardines de España. Two composers who made of their love for their homeland a musical message, both scholars of the folklore of their respective origins, Norway and Andalucía, and they knew how to introduce and emphasize elements of this in their music. The Pianist has collaborated again with the label Ars Produktion, with whom she already recorded Pour Le tombeau by Claude Debussy. With this album, The Pianist explains, he fully expresses his strong emotional and vital connection with Robert Schumann, who was already the protagonist of his first record work almost ten years ago. “Schumann’s music was one of the first songs I met as a child, I practically began to read on the instrument with his youth album. So it can be said that in music, Schumann would be my mother tongue, and my first emotional language“ ” says Judith. “It has been almost a decade since my first album, in which I have delved into other authors and times and now, with ‘the romantic soul’, I feel like I’m back to my origin” ” confesses The Pianist.
