The late Elza Soares lived an excellent phase in the recent past, with a series of critically acclaimed records that made her known to a new-and engaged-audience. But the singer’s career was filled with intriguing and interesting releases. Among them, Sambossa.

Remembered by the critic Mauro Ferreira in a text of 2020, written in G1, the LP of 1963 captures a delicious aura, with sambinhas tasty to hear and served from an unmistakeable voice that went from the most velvety crooner singing to torn scats, to Louis Armstrong, so typical of Elza.
