Camille a décidé de tracer sa propre route afin d’être au plus proche de ses volontés artistiques. – – Pour la première fois aussi, elle ne réunit que les musiciens avec qui elle tourne depuis plusieurs années afin d’être au plus proche du son de groupe qu’ils ont obtenu à force de tourner ensemble. – – Cet album se différencie des autres en misant sur un son organique, un peu comme un ‘laboratoire’ qui deviendrait disque. La batterie, très présente sur ses anciens albums, est remplacée par les percussions. Tous les titres, textes, en français, et arrangements sont de sa composition et portent en eux la volonté d’affirmer, une fois de plus, l’alliance de deux mondes difficilement et rarement assemblables : Le jazz et la chanson, tout en gardant la danse, l’improvisation et la transe.

Her last album “Pas de géant” released by Sony two years ago had received a dythirrambic critical reception, Camille Bertault does it again with his new opus entitled “Le Tigre”.

wild, powerful, sometimes scary, but like any self-respecting feline, playful and facetious. Singer and musician with many facets, Camille Bertault roars once again by offering an album as eclectic as it is bewitching, between moving songs (“There is a Bird”, “Je vieillis”, “Le Tigre”…) and titles at relentless groove “Todolist”, “Ma Muse”, Le Tube”…) Perfectly accompanied by a cast of big names (Jacky Terrasson on piano, Minino Garay on percussions, Christophe” Disco “Minck on double bass, Donald Kontomanou on drums , Stéphane Guillaume on saxophone and clarinets, all produced by Michael Leonhart who also appears on trumpet and bugle), Camille Bertault truly takes off with “Le Tigre”.

In recent years, it has been common for stars to be born through the means of social media. The immediacy of the Internet and the demand for content has made it possible for savvy artists to find their audiences and develop them. Though occasionally, there is the story of a whim turning into an opportunity. During the early summer of 2015, French vocalist Camille Bertault began utilizing her special talents of solo transcription and vocal dexterity to record herself singing remarkably to famous solos by jazz legends. She made videos of the performances and posted them to Facebook without much thought. The result was an immediate landslide of attention, but more than just acknowledgment of a quirky video, true fans began to call.
