Action-Refraction is the tenth album by American bassist Ben Allison. It was released on the Palmetto Records label in 2011. It’s his first album to focus on the compositions of others.

In a review for AllMusic, critic reviewer Phil Freeman wrote: “Action-Refraction isn’t a straight jazz album, but it’s more likely to appeal to young jazz listeners than to indie rock fans, though it offers pleasures for anyone with open ears.”

Cowboy Justice (Remastered) is Ben’s 6th studio album and features Ron Horton (trumpet & flugelhorn), Steve Cardenas (guitar), Ben Allison (bass & acoustic guitar), and Jeff Ballard (drums). Originally released in 2006 and now available on Sonic Camera Records, Cowboy Justice (Remastered) was written as a protest album in reaction to the Iraq War. This version contains two previously unreleased tracks: Mournful Mood Part 1 and Mournful Mood Part 2, both of which were completely.
