It was originally released on March 3, 1972 and was produced by Stevie Wonder, Robert Margouleff, and Malcolm Cecil. Music of My Mind was ranked #284 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003. The album peaked at #21 on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart, #6 on the R&B Albums Chart, and #47 on the year-end Pop Albums Chart for 1972.
