After the releases of his debut album Mannnersachen (2006) and the following album respectively (2007) Roger Cicero was honored as an artist and musician who succeeded in getting a really wide audience enthusiastic about jazz.

With his unique big band sound combined with amusing, but also touching lyrics and of course crowned by this legendary voice and his incomparable charm, he managed to sell almost a million copies of these two albums alone. Inspired by great interest also from abroad, the decision was made to translate the texts into English and to plan an international career. Due to the tight deadline, further preparations were stopped for the time being. After the birth of his son, Roger finally decided to continue to focus on the German-speaking market.

5 years after his death, his team has now decided to present The English Album to his large fan base.

The texts were interpreted into English by Ralf-René Maué, the original texts were penned by Frank Ramond. Highly recommended, because the songs get a whole new touch thanks to the partly new content and also the surprisingly different sounding voice of Roger, who sang exclusively in English until his debut album Männnersachen.
