Niclas Floer studied classical piano with Rainer Klaas, jazz piano with Andreas Lumpp and set with Peter Wolf at the Dortmund (Germany) Academy of Music. After his exams he worked as a piano accompanist in jazz, gospel, chanson, musical and pop. Numerous engagements brought him to Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and USA. Floer received the most attention with his recording of the chart hit Hijo de la luna together with the Philharmonia Hungarica in 1998, which was number one in Germany for seven weeks. In 2000 he was a pianist at the Montreaux Jazz Festival and in 2009 at the Burghausen Jazz Festival. In addition to his extensive concert performances, Floer also works as a choir master, composer, theatre musician and piano teacher.
