For his first recording on the Deutsche Grammophon label, conductor-violinist Jean-Christophe Spinosi, accompanied by his Ensemble Matheus and mezzo-soprano Malena Ernman, present Miroirs. On this album, works by Johann Christoph Bach and Johann Sebastian Bach rub shoulders with others by Dimitri Shostakovich, Samuel Barber and Nicholas Bacri. Despite the years that separate them, these composers’ works mirror and echo one another.
