We invite you to a concert from the “Good Evening Jazz” series, at which the artistic supervisor of this series, namely Krzysztof Herdzin, will perform! He will present the audience with songs from the album “The Book of Secrets”, which will be premiered on that day. Krzysztof Herdzin will perform with the accompaniment of the great American saxophonist Rick Margitza and friends, permanent musicians of his trio – Robert Kubiszyn and Cezary Konrad.
Krzysztof Herdzin, because we are talking about him, in recent years has focused mainly on composition and conducting. His two CDs with contemporary music – “Symphonicum” recorded with Sinfonia Varsovia and “Suite on Polish Themes” recorded in London’s Abbey Road Studio with one of the world’s greatest orchestras Academy of St Martin in the Fields – were nominated for the Fryderyk Award. Eight times he was recognized as Arranger of the Year according to the Jazz Forum readers survey “Jazz Top”, he is also a laureate of Fryderyk in the category “Jazz Composer and Arranger of the Year”. Krzysztof Herdzin graduated from the classical piano in the legendary class of prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń. In 2015, he received the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis. He owns 17 gold and 3 platinum discs for the arranger, he has produced over 20 discs of Polish stars such as: Irena Santor, Maryla Rodowicz, Katarzyna Groniec, Edyta Geppert, Wojciech Gąssowski. He orchestrated the Oscar-winning 2005 music of Jan A.P. Kaczmarek for the film “Finding Neverland”. As a leader he recorded 18 CDs, and as a pianist, arranger, conductor and composer he appeared on over 200 discs. For eight years she has been the pillar of the band Anna Maria Jopek, arranging and performing with her on stages all over the world, she runs her own Big Band and Trio (Robert Kubiszyn and Cezary Konrad). At TM ROMA he was the musical director of the musical “Rainy song” and guest conductor of the musical “Pilots” and created some arrangements for this title.
