When Will The Blues Leave is the title of a new album which was recorded live last summer during lockdown, without an audience, at the BIMHUIS. Drummer John Engels, double bassist Joris Teepe and saxophonist Benjamin Herman will now play with the same fresh interaction before an audience. On the occasion of the release on DOX Records, the first cd will be handed to a special guest.

John Engels is legendary and one of the most swinging jazz drummers in The Netherlands. He shared the stage with Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Ray Brown, Hank Jones, and many others. Joris Teepe has lived in America for many years and became part of the New York jazz scene. He toured and played with, among others, Benny Golson, Charles McPherson and Rashied Ali. Benjamin Herman is best-known saxophonist and best-dressed saxophonist in The Netherlands. As the leader of New Cool Collective and many other collaborations, he continues to set the tone.
