Ex-Ninja Tune artist Emika releases her 5th album Falling In Love With Sadness on her own imprint, Emika Records.

Bringing bold new tendencies to a world of avant-garde classicism, popular song and contemporary electronic minimalism, Berlin-based Emika has, since the turn of the decade, transposed perceived notions of music on its head.

Falling In Love With Sadness, is co-produced with Robert Witschakowski of The Exaltics, and will be released to coincide with World Mental Health Day, the 10th of October 2018. A portion of proceeds will go to a UK-based mental health charity.

Alongside the release, Emika is inviting people from all over the world to share their experiences of depression, anonymously and in different languages, on her website (www.emikarecords.com) to create a ‘River Of Sadness’, a lyric from the opening track of her brand new album, and also to raise awareness of mental illness.
