The Album “Echoes” by Pianist and composer Dirk Maassen is inspired by encounters with his Fans. It is about the power of music to express feelings and connect people across spatial and temporal boundaries. Dirk Maassen has been keeping a musical diary for a long time. In it, he writes down the particularly memorable experiences in melodies. Many encounters with his fans have particularly touched him and inspired him to think about music as a means of communication. Feelings, sensations and experiences resonate in music, and people can experience deep connectedness even when they are separated from each other. Dirk Maassen has inspired this power to overcome space and time to reduced and, as it were, touching piano pieces, some of which he complements with orchestral arrangements.
