Arguably the top Spanish language songwriter of our time, and a distinguished one in English and Portuguese as well, LA based, Argentina born Claudia Brant has worked with and written for just about everyone. Since moving to California in 1998 her credits average 40 cuts per year in just about every genre and in multiple languages. Claudia has been nominated for 5 Latin Grammy’s as a songwriter, artist and producer, and won the Latin Grammy for Song of the Year in 2009. She was the SESAC Latin Songwriter of the Year for three consecutive years, 2007-2009, and ASCAP Latina Songwriter of the Year in 2012 and 2015. Claudia’s song for Luis Fonsi “No Me Doy Por Vencido” was named Billboard Magazine’s “Song of the Decade” after holding the #1 spot of the Latin Charts for a then record 19 consecutive weeks.
Her collaborations include the biggest names in the music industry. The list is too long to summarize, but includes such names as: Bruno Mars, Desmond Child, Diane Warren, Lester Méndez, David Foster, Toby Gad, Martin Terefe, Danny Elfman, Arturo Sandoval, Sebastian Krys, Kike Santander, Naughty Boy, Alex Cuba, Jorge Villamizar, Motiff, Julio Reyes Copello and Julia Michaels, to name but a few.
Claudia’s songs have been recorded by a long list of artists. Claudia recently opened her new company, Brantones On Demand, in LA to specialize in music for film and TV.
She has just finished recording her album “SINCERA” at East West studios in LA. The album, which will be released this fall, was produced by Ezequiel “Cheche” Alara and Antonio “Moogie” Canazio, and includes 4 duets featuring Antonio Carmona, Alex Cuba, La Marisol Hernandez and Arnaldo Antunes.
Claudia’s songs have been featured in films and in 2017, she was named Spotify Secret Genius Latin Ambassador. She hosted and curated the main Latin Songcamp for Spotify in Miami (February, 2018).
Claudia is currently serving as National Trustee for The Recording Academy (LA chapter). She was also named VP West Coast of The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, where she got inducted in 2016. Additionally, she has been nominated twice for the ASCAP Board of Directors.
Claudia’s most recent collaborations include “Corazon Valiente” and “Sexo debil” by Victoria La Mala (Roc Nation), “Sola” by Jessie Reyez (Island) and “Lloviendo Alegria” by Malu as well as the Josh Groban track “Musica del Corazon”.
