A Christmassy atmosphere, great music and exciting stories from the world of musical instruments: All this can be found in our Family Christmas concerts. It is also impossible to imagine them without the charming, quick-witted and entertaining presenter, horn player Sarah Willis, who this time appeared with colleagues from her own section of the orchestra, together with percussionist Franz Schindlbeck. The professionals were supported by the Blue Wuhle Kids Band: children from the Schule an der Wuhlheide in Berlin who start every school day with their brass ensemble and who, in this concert, also delighted the audience with some unexpected choreography.
In Christmas songs ranging from classical to jazz, the Brass Ensemble of the Berliner Philharmoniker enthralls the audience with its ringing, splendorous sound. They were also asked interesting questions, such as how long is a horn when it is rolled out (the revealing answer: As long as a garden hose). And this time too, the children in the audience were excited to discover where and when Santa Claus would appear.
